only moments away...
While enjoying time out from your everyday life, there are endless things to do in and around Barwon Heads:

cafes and restaurants...
Many to choose from in Barwon Heads itself including the popular "At The Heads" (watch out for Diver Dan) and "The Garage." Or, just a short drive down the road (approx. 20 minutes) try wineries such as "Pettavel" and "Scotchmans Hill."

fishing and boating...
With the new boat ramp and jetty only a 2 minutes drive from your front door, enjoy safe sailing and boating on the Barwon River. Or, drop a line and catch yourself a feast to cook up on the barbecue (bend the ear of a local to get the best tips!).

wildlife...
Lake Connewarre State Game Reserve is at the end of the road. Famous for its wetlands and birdlife. Watch long enough and you're bound to see some exotic water bird species.

The Jirrahlinga Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary is a 2 minutes drive away with Kangaroos, Koalas and many Reptiles.

plenty for the kids...
Get lost in the giant maze, a short trip away in Wallington. Just up the road from there visit the Theme Park with boating, train rides, flying fox, water slide and much more. The famous Surf World at Torquay is always worth a look, not to mention the surf wear factory outlets to deck the kids out in great beach gear.

beaches and more...
If you’re into surfing or simply lazing around on the beach, you're no more than 20 minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Close by is 13th Beach, great for surfing, or if you’re up to the challenge try the internationally famous Bells Beach. With the kids, head down to the nearby Barwon River beach for safe swimming. If you’ve packed the clubs take in a round at one of the many golf courses in the area. For a trip out head down to the start of the Great Ocean Road at Torquay (20 minutes away) for some of the most amazing scenery you'll ever see. Take the trip to Lorne and you'll be introduced to some breath taking stuff...
